PRAYER  }
Caring for Others

Prayer is vital to the life of any church family, and that is certainly the case here at Woodland. This allows us to remain connected with one another as we bring our praises and petitions to God. We invite you to share concerns for the purpose of bringing those before the fellowship.

You may contact us by phone 434-263-4475 or  email your prayer request to dblevins@woodlandchurch.org.

Away From Home

Remember those serving our country: Clyde Carrie, Betty Grubb, Matthew Hoenes, Larry Murray, Jeremy Neff, and Robert and Shelley Purvis

Woodland's "away-from-home" section is for the purpose of keeping up with those of our church family who are in the military service and in college, and young folk who are beginning careers. We are providing mailing and email addresses and some basic information regarding each friend and family member. Our desire is that you use this tool to pray for these individuals and to communicate with them. Help us out. If you are aware of someone to be highlighted, make a contact and ask them to pass their info along to us.

Jeremy Neff

"For those of you who do not know Jeremy, he was a classmate and is a very good friend of Jeremy Marrs and Michael Stewart, and very much a part of us here at Woodland.  He graduated from NCHS, and like so many, he’s off to the ends of the earth and we don’t work to keep up with him.  Thanks to a friend to passed along his e-mail address, he is back in our communication network.  FYI, Jeremy is the guy in the center, front row.  Handsome lad, don’t you think!  Keep him in your prayers. "(David Blevins)

Hey Preacher Dave,

Just to let you know that I am transferring off of the ship in a day or two so I wont have access to this email account anymore. I took orders to Patuxent River Air Test Station in Southern Maryland. I will be working on the air traffic surveillance radars for the air field and in the planes. They should be flying me home shortly from Bahrain so hopefully I will be able to attend a Sunday service of two and be able to see everyone again. Once I get checked into my new command, I will give you my new work address so I can be included in the updates again. Tell everyone that I said hello and that I miss them.

Hope to see you soon,

Happy Holidays!

Jeremy

"Preacher Dave,

Yea of course you can use any of my info for your webpage. Here is some of my info…

My Mailing Address

2016 Woodgate Arch

Chesapeake, VA 23320

My Address on the Ship

Jeremy is no longer on the ship. New Address pending....

What I do, in a nutshell…. I’m the Supervisor for the Radar and Navigation work center as well as the electronics technician for the VBSS (Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure) team onboard. I’m trying out to go Navy Diver right now (think of the movie “Men of Honor”). If that works out for me, that will take me who knows where. I’ve already done 2 six month deployments, one to the Persian Gulf and the last one was a Public Relations tour through Europe.

If there is anything else you need, just let me know. Thanks for keeping me in the loop. If anyone wants to visit the ship’s website, it’s www.monterey.navy.mil
