OUR BELIEFS
Woodland is a community of believers, brought together by the common bond of Christian love. Ours is a fellowship where no distinction is made based upon socio-economic background, gender or race. All who seek a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ, and who desire to grow in that relationship, are encouraged and expected to live out their faith as the Lord has gifted them.
We desire, in all that we are and all that we do, to give witness to Jesus
Christ and to share his love with others.

Those who claim Woodland Baptist Church as their church home, proclaim Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, anticipated by the prophets of old. We believe Christ was born, died on the cross for the forgiveness of sin, and was raised from the dead, offering to the world the unmerited gift of life eternal. We are nurtured by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our living Lord, and we invite others to enter into that same relationship. As Christians who call ourselves Baptists, we affirm the notions of the priesthood of the believer (all are competent and responsible before God, needing no human "go-between" to administer our faith journey), and the autonomy of the local church (we answer to no hierarchical governing body, but freely choose to cooperate with sister churches at the local, state, national, and international level). We welcome all who desire to live in Christ and serve in His name.
